Our Indigenous built Everglades chickees are perfect for those looking for a stay in the Everglades.

Our chickee huts are styled after the original native American chickee huts and are built by locally residing Seminole native Americans. The thatched roofs allow air to pass underneath and through during the Florida Everglades summer months. Go Glamping!

Many travelers don’t have tents or camping gear that they travel with and are looking for a different experience than a traditional hotel room. Our Seminole Indian Chickees offer a place to rest and relax in nature. Our Chickee cottage offers a view of the swamp and open grassland prairies with solar fixtures and shutter windows. Our chickee huts are rustic with no water or electric, 

both are situated  near restrooms and hot showers located within the Trail Lakes Campground bathhouse. Our chickee huts are a great opportunity for large families and groups to set up their own ‘camp’, with the chickee huts as a primary get together place and a focal point of the

camping gathering. Our location is an international destination for star gazing. We are located in the heart of the Big Cypress Western Everglades.
